ALAF Limited Unveils $25 Million Cutting-Edge Color Coating Line

Dar es Salaam, In a significant stride towards revolutionizing Tanzania’s building solutions industry, ALAF Limited, a proud member of the Safal Group of companies, has revealed a groundbreaking $25 million project. This venture introduces a state-of-the-art Continuous Color Coating Line (CCL) featuring Three Coaters utilizing a double-coat paint system, expected to commence commercial production by December 2024.

The unveiling ceremony, graced by the esteemed presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko, marked a monumental moment for Tanzania's industrial landscape.

Addressing the audience, ALAF Limited’s Chief Executive, Mr Ashish Mistry, emphasized the project's core objective - seamless integration of the cutting-edge Continuous Colour Coating Line within the existing manufacturing infrastructure. He highlighted the advanced paint system employed, ensuring exceptional durability and resistance to external elements, particularly the harsh Marine Environments prevalent in Tanzania's coastal regions.

A noteworthy feature of the new Colour Coating Line is the incorporation of a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO). This groundbreaking addition captures volatile compounds generated during the painting and baking processes, recycling them without emission, ensuring zero pollution in the vicinity.

Mr Mistry expressed ALAF Limited's commitment to advancing manufacturing capabilities while prioritizing safety, sustainability, and operational excellence. He announced the creation of direct employment for 30 individuals and an additional 250 through indirect employment, thereby contributing significantly to local employment opportunities.

Deputy Prime Minister Dr Doto Biteko commended ALAF Limited's substantial investment, emphasizing its impact on elevating Tanzania's building solutions industry. He underscored the government's dedication, led by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, in creating an investor-friendly environment. Dr Biteko pointed out that such investments were crucial to bolster Tanzania's local and international market competitiveness, reducing dependence on imported products.

He challenged other steel product manufacturers to follow ALAF Limited's lead, urging them to invest extensively. Dr Biteko highlighted the cutting-edge technology employed, ensuring the production of top-quality products efficiently and at lower costs, ultimately benefiting consumers.

ALAF Limited’s investment not only signifies a leap in Tanzania's industrial advancement but also underscores the nation's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and economic growth.
