Raphael Maganga, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF), underscored China's significant role as one of the top investors in Tanzania during a recent investment forum held in Dar es Salaam over the weekend. The forum, which convened investors from both China and the United States, aimed to explore diverse investment opportunities in the country.
Addressing a packed audience, Maganga emphasized China's easy access to the African market through Tanzania, attributing it to the favorable investment environment in the East African nation. He noted that investors from the Chinese community frequently visit Tanzania, indicating sustained interest and engagement in the country's investment landscape.
Acknowledging the government's efforts in maintaining international relations and enhancing infrastructure, Maganga highlighted the success of investment policies in attracting more investors to Tanzania.
John Mnali, the Director of Investment Promotion at the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), reiterated the forum's objective to promote investment opportunities available in Tanzania. He emphasized the country's commitment to fostering a conducive environment for investment and economic growth.
Meanwhile, John Zhengpt, Vice President of Group Six International Limited, expressed optimism that the forum would open doors for other competitors to invest in Tanzania, given the participation of prominent investment companies such as 'Turner'. The event served as a platform for businessmen from various sectors, including representatives from the American Chamber of Commerce and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, which comprises 18 chambers from different provinces in China.
The gathering facilitated networking and dialogue among stakeholders, paving the way for potential collaborations and investments in Tanzania's thriving business landscape. As Tanzania continues to attract attention from global investors, forums like these play a crucial role in showcasing the country's investment potential and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships for sustainable economic development.
