CRDB Bank Triumphs with Triple Trophies at Consumer Choice Awards Africa 2023


In a splendid display of excellence, CRDB Bank has clinched three coveted titles at the prestigious Consumer Choice Awards Africa 2023, marking a historic moment for the bank. This triumphant win underscores CRDB Bank's unwavering commitment to providing exemplary financial services tailored to the diverse needs of its customers.

The awards ceremony, attended by esteemed guests including Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Dotto Biteko, saw CRDB Bank take home the title of 'Most Preferred Domestic Bank in Customer Service,' a testament to its dedication to customer satisfaction. Further accolades included being named the 'Most Convenient and Accessible ATM Service Provider,' reflecting the bank's strategic initiative to ensure financial accessibility across the region.

In a notable personal achievement, the Group CEO and Managing Director of CRDB Bank, Mr. Abdulmajid Nsekela, received recognition for his influential leadership, earning him a spot among the most inspiring business leaders in Africa.

These accolades come on the heels of an impressive financial performance reported by CRDB Bank Plc for the third quarter ending September 30, 2023. The bank demonstrated robust earnings, reinforcing its status as a leading entity within Tanzania's competitive banking sector.

The financial reports revealed a marked increase in net interest income for the third quarter, amounting to TZS 215,751 million, a significant jump from the TZS 175,684 million recorded in the same quarter the previous year. The net income for the quarter also saw a substantial increase to TZS 100,462 million, rising from TZS 82,543 million reported a year earlier.

CRDB Bank's nine-month financials were equally impressive, with net interest income reaching TZS 609,795 million, compared to TZS 531,919 million in the same period last year. The net income for the nine months soared to TZS 280,455 million, up from TZS 256,586 million in the prior year, signaling strong financial health and a positive trajectory for the bank's growth.
