NIC Insurance Launches Nationwide Awareness Campaign to Promote Insurance Understanding

In a bid to enhance insurance coverage across the nation, NIC Insurance has announced a comprehensive public awareness campaign on the benefits of various insurance products. This initiative is part of their celebrations for their 60-year anniversary and aims to educate Tanzanians about the importance and advantages of insurance.


Dr. Elirehema Doriye, the Managing Director of NIC, emphasized the significance of insurance education, noting that many Tanzanians still lack understanding about insurance products. The company plans to use diverse platforms, including academic forums, to reach a wide audience. Dr. Doriye highlighted their intention to educate citizens through visits to both public and private institutions, as well as engaging with the media. In recognition of the vital role played by journalists, NIC is in the process of developing a special insurance product tailored for them.


Furthermore, NIC Insurance is actively seeking input on this new media insurance product and aims to launch it within three months. Dr. Doriye also shared that, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, NIC will support social services such as healthcare, environmental initiatives, and aid for people living in challenging conditions.


Additionally, in alignment with their 60th anniversary, NIC plans to boost investments in Information Technologies. Their commitment to community engagement was applauded by Mr. Andre Mtine, Chief Executive Officer of Young Africans Sports Club, highlighting NIC's collaboration in spreading education.


NIC Insurance's efforts reflect a proactive approach towards increasing insurance awareness and accessibility, ensuring that more Tanzanians can benefit from the security and protection that insurance products offer.
