PASS Trust and Embassy of Denmark Launch Youth Livestock Business Center

Private Agricultural Support Service (PASS) Trust, in collaboration with the Embassy of Denmark, launched and handed over a fully equipped Youth Livestock Business Center to the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries valued at TZS 1.63 billion.

The opening and handover ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa, Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Abdallah Ulega, and leaders from other ministries.

PASS Trust has decided to transfer ownership of the center to Taliri, following agreements between the two parties made in 2018 during the establishment of the center. The center will now help uplift Tanzanian youth through practical programs under the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries.

This project will bring positive changes, especially in the Livestock Sector, by bringing together youth and providing them with skills and knowledge in goat fattening, alongside entrepreneurship in the entire livestock business chain.

Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa noted that international meat exports have significantly increased to 11,682.3 tons, including 870.7 tons of beef, 8,059.48 tons of goat meat, 27.5 tons of sheep meat, and 9.3 tons of pork, all sold for a value of TZS 50.3 billion by April this year.
