Tanzania Set to Host Over 500 Exhibitors at TIMEXPO 2024

The anticipation is high as Tanzania gears up to host the Tanzania International Manufacturers Expo 2024 (TIMEXPO 2024), with more than 500 exhibitors from both local and international industrial companies slated to participate.

Mr. Leodegar Tenga, the Executive Director of the Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI), announced yesterday that TIMEXPO 2024, scheduled to commence in September this year, will be a comprehensive showcase featuring exhibitors from around the globe, presenting their equipment and products across various sectors.

"This year's TIMEXPO will spotlight cutting-edge technologies across diverse sectors, with over 500 exhibitors from both local and international industrial players," stated Mr. Tenga.

TIMEXPO has consistently served as a premier platform for manufacturers to exhibit their offerings to potential customers and partners. Attendees can expect to delve into current industry trends, forge connections with suppliers and customers, and explore new business opportunities.

Mr. Tenga emphasized that the Expo, themed 'Building Bridges: Connecting Local and International Manufacturers,' will spotlight key sectors aimed at promoting and introducing new equipment, products, and services to the Tanzanian market.

A wide array of sectors will be showcased at the event, including building and construction materials, extractive manufacturing (metals, minerals, and plastics), agri-processing, paints industry, textile and leather industry, cosmetics industry, manufacturing of consumer goods, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy technologies, electrical appliances, modern industrial equipment, and machinery.

Mr. Fortunatus Mhambe, Director of Trade Promotion at the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), revealed that the authority has entered into agreements with CTI to organize the expo, with the primary objective of promoting the growth of domestic industries.

He encouraged stakeholders from both within the country and abroad to participate in the event, highlighting that the registration window is currently open.

"Besides gaining insights into new technologies, the event will provide participants with opportunities to promote various products and services manufactured in the country, thereby facilitating connections between manufacturers and producers of raw materials and other essential services used in industries," remarked Mr. Mhambe.
