Tanzania to Witness Opening of a 45 Million USD Shifaa Healthcare Project

In a groundbreaking move, the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) is leading a transformative venture in the healthcare sector, poised to reshape not only Tanzania's medical landscape but also boost related industries like tourism.

Dubbed the Shifaa project, this ambitious initiative holds a valuation of 45 million USD and pledges to deliver a cutting-edge facility upon completion. The envisaged Shifaa Hospital is designed to encompass 250 beds, seven state-of-the-art operating theaters, and 40 advanced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) rooms. Anticipated as a significant employment generator, the development is expected to provide 2,800 direct jobs and over 4,000 indirect job opportunities.

Situated in the heart of Dar es Salaam, Shifaa Hospital aspires to redefine healthcare standards in Tanzania by establishing a multispecialty hospital adhering to global benchmarks of compassionate care and clinical excellence. The facility, purpose-built with modern technology, seeks to elevate patient comfort and experience with spacious waiting areas, ample parking, efficient HVAC systems, comfortable seating, and a friendly, skilled staff.

Highlighting the technological prowess of Shifaa Hospital, the establishment will feature cutting-edge medical technology, including HEPA filters and Laminar flow for infection control in operating theaters, alongside a comprehensive suite of diagnostic imaging services such as CT Scan, MRI, and more.

Shifaa Hospital's commitment extends beyond infrastructure to the quality of care provided. The medical facility will boast a team of highly qualified, trained, and experienced professionals. To ensure continuous medical education, a 150-seat auditorium is constructed, positioning the staff at the forefront of medical advancements.

Expressing gratitude, the management of Shifaa Hospital acknowledges the unwavering support of the Government of Tanzania and the Tanzania Investment Centre for their commitment to transforming healthcare in the country and establishing new standards in patient care.
