Minister of State in the Office of the President for Planning and Investment, Prof. Kitila Mkumbo (MP), alongside Permanent Secretary Dr. Tausi Kida, unveiled a groundbreaking initiative on May 4, 2024, launching a dedicated Center for Rapid Services catering to sophisticated investors and special investors.
The newly inaugurated center, situated within the Tanzania Investment Center (TIC), marks a significant milestone in streamlining services for investors, prioritizing efficiency and convenience based on the magnitude of their capital contributions to Tanzania.
Prof. Mkumbo emphasized the center's commitment to providing equitable services to all investors while ensuring that those bringing substantial capital into the country receive expedited and specialized assistance. "We serve all our investors equally, however, we want an investor bringing in large capital to the country to receive special services quickly, so that their funds are seen on the streets and jobs are created," stated Prof. Mkumbo.
The establishment of this specialized center underscores the government's dedication to enhancing service delivery and advancing the President's vision of attracting a more extensive pool of investors to Tanzania.
Dr. Tausi Kida, in her earlier remarks, outlined the collaborative nature of the center, which will involve service providers from TIC, Azania Bank, and TRA. This collaboration aims to facilitate the swift registration of businesses for sophisticated investors and special investors within a single day, further streamlining the investment process and fostering economic growth.
